SWIM GROUPS

We work to adjust the staffing ratios to ensure the safety of all swimmers.

Levels 1-3 will have 4 kids to 1 instructor and  Levels 4-5 will have 5 kids to 1 instructor.

Level 1

For beginners, we teach the the basics of swimming, putting our faces in the water, kicking, proper body position and floating.

Level 2

Building on the skills gained during Level 1, our new swimmers learn to how to proerly turn their head to breath,  roll from stomachs to backs, pushing off the wall to get started and more.

Level 3

We start to learn to use our arms and the timing of the strokes to facilitate swim.  We also learn to breathe in conjunction with our stroke. Swimmers are also taught the breast stroke.

Level 4

We put all of these skills together, properly swim freestyle and back stroke.  Then we expand into the use of our arms and timing for the breast stroke.

Level 5

We learn to flip turn from freestyle and back stroke and well as open turns for breast stroke and butterfly.  We also begin to learn how to dolphin kick for our butterfly stroke.
